The support to be covered must be sound, firm, free of dust, grease, dirt or paint rests. Previuslythe application of microcement, you have to correct any cracks or peeling that may exist on the surface.
In the case of porous supports such as leveling compounds, plaster or absorbent plasterboard, the Meexe Primer 100 primer must be applied, which acts as an adhesion promoter and absorption regulator for mineral supports.
Its application is prior to Meexe Base OC and must be carried out after placing the Meexe Mesh on the surface to be coated. With the mesh, the risk of mechanical damage to the surface is reduced and the coating is reinforced.
For non-porous ceramic supports, surface preparation will be carried out with a sanding of the superficial layer to open the pore. You will also need to clean and remove any dust that remains on the surface.
With the open pore, you have to apply a layer of Meexe Base to fill the joints and leave a drying time of 24 hours. Once the joints are blocked, the Meexe Primer 200 primer must be applied with the Meexe Mesh, which must stick without any kind of crease.
Meexe Base OC mixes with water and pigments depending on the color you want to achieve.
The ratio between microcement and water:
10 kg of Meexe Floor OC L - 2.3 liters of water
10 kg of Meexe Floor OC XL - 2.2 liters of water
10 kg of Meexe Floor OC XXL - 2.1 liters of water
Meexe Floor OC is the single-component microcement recommended for indoor floors and has a texture of medium grain. It is available in 2 granulometries: M and L.
With this product you get continuous pavements with elegant and natural finishes. In this way, the water effect is present but in a more subtle way. It is applied in bathrooms, sinks, shower trays, countertops and stairs.
